XCOM: Enemy Within is a large expansion pack for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, created by Firaxis Games studio known for, among others, Sid Meier's Civilization V. The production introduces a lot of novelties to the game. Among other things, a new resource type, new weapons, upgrades, maps, skills and content for multiplayer games have been released. One of the most important novelties is a new type of raw material called "meld". It is a kind of nanontechnological swarm of microscopic robots-organisms that can modify the human genotype. This translates into the possibility of a genetic "improvement" of the human body or its seamless connection with mechanical elements. Thanks to him, soldiers can be genetically modified. Both offensive and defensive bio-modifications are available. Thanks to the "report", another soldier class was introduced to the Enemy Within - Mec Trooper. To access it, you must first build a special building. We send him one of our pupils who loses his previous skills, but gains completely new ones. Through a series of medical procedures, amputations and replacing elements of the human body with cold steel, we adapt our subordinate to the use of the Mechanical Cyberprotective Exoskeleton, MEC for short. The result is a cyber soldier that comes in three options: Guardian, Guardian, and Paladin. They differ in their special abilities. In the new version of XCOM there are also medals that can be awarded to deserving commandos, thus increasing their combat capabilities. Thanks to this, we discover more secrets of the Rapture boss and learn a few previously unknown details about the history of this underwater city. The plot is kept in a familiar style, being the perfect complement for a sufficiently large dose of gameplay.GameplayWe are given completely new types of weapons and plasmids, and the improved flying robots (Security Bots) that we could hack can now shoot deadly rockets instead of using a regular machine gun. We also meet new types of opponents, including a kind of Big Daddy, previously unused by the creators. The add-on is a real treat for BioShock 2 owners , as it allows you to spend more time in Rapture and learn some interesting information about the city. Since the gameplay here is focused only on the single-player mode, fans of online games will not find anything new in it. The graphic design has not changed as well and still presents the same high level.

We are dealing with a FPP shooter, enriched with elements taken from the RPG genre. The title is available both as a standalone item and as an element of the BioShock: The Collection compilation. BioShock 2 Remastered takes place eight years after the events of the first part of the series. The player once again has the opportunity to visit the city of Rapture - an underwater complex, brought to life as a kind of utopia, as well as a shelter for the most outstanding representatives of the human race. Things got complicated with the discovery of ADAM - a mysterious substance that gives its host supernatural abilities, while also leading to irreversible mutations in the body. This was the direct cause of the outbreak of the civil war and, as a result, the fall of the city. The main character of the game is Object Delta - one of the prototypical Big Daddy. These powerful creatures were created to protect the Little Sisters, tasked with retrieving ADAM from the bodies of the dead inhabitants of the underwater metropolis. Eleonora Lamb, the daughter of Sofia, known from the first installment of the series, was entrusted to his care. Ten years after committing suicide, the hero is resurrected by his ward. His main mission is to save a teenage girl from her own mother, trying to transform her into the embodiment of her ideals. As was the case with the first BioShock, the plot is non-linear, and the game is enriched with new threads. In addition, the decisions we make are once again reflected in one of several endings. We get to know the historical background again thanks to the so-called "audiologs", recordings informing about the events that took place in Rapture in our absence. Playing BioShock 2 Remastered on the PC platform focuses on exploring the environment, solving various puzzles and fighting with enemies on the way. For the needs of the game, the developers have prepared a number of new locations, such as Fontaine Futuristics, a kind of ADAM processing plant. Walks on the bottom of the ocean are made possible by the scuba diver's outfit in which the protagonist is dressed. Due to the fact that we no longer play the role of an ordinary person, but the prototype of Big Daddy, the developers managed to introduce a lot of changes and improvements to the game. The hero stands out from his peers with the possibility of using Plasmids - the aforementioned supernatural abilities, allowing for example the control of the elements or the use of telekinesis. In addition to splicers and other Big Daddies, the defeating of which is not a major problem for Object Delta, there are new adversaries in the form of so-called Big Sisters. They appear when we deal with all Little Sisters present in a given location. Big Sisters are not only extremely fast and agile, but also well-equipped, so facing them is a real challenge even for a colossus like the protagonist. An extensive arsenal comes to the rescue - Object Delta uses both firearms and a giant drill, or a powerful air cannon called the Rivet Gun. In addition, we can use Plasmids and firearms simultaneously this time, which significantly expands the range of options available on the battlefield.

"X-COM Interceptor" is the fourth game in the series published by Microprose, which was started by the famous "UFO: Enemy Unknown" and tells about the clashes between the human race and predatory alien species. The "Interceptor" does not have such an extensive plot as its predecessors, but it is distinguished by the addition of elements known from popular space shooters. The player still has to manage the base of the organization established to fight against space invaders, i.e. build new buildings, raise funds or take care of constant technological development. The main difference is the need to play space battles, in which you sit at the controls of one of the allied ships. In singleplayer, the player has to deal with three types of missions. The third type of missions are optional tasks, thanks to which you can only improve your final result. The player also has to take care of other squadron members - hire new pilots, prepare additional fighters or take care of the best possible weapons. Technological progress is largely based on Alien constructions. So, after capturing an enemy ship, you can count on additional bonuses. The spaceships appearing in the game can be controlled using a mouse, keyboard or an analog controller. The flight model is quite simplified and far from realistic simulations like "X-Beyond the Frontier".
