Dark Future: Blood Red States is a PC turn-based strategy adaptation of the post-apocalyptic Dark Future board game , published by Games Workshop in 1988. The computer version was developed by Auroch Digital studio, i.e. the authors of, among others Chainsaw Warrior and Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night , also an adaptation of table games.Dark Future: Blood Red States takes place in the near, post-apocalyptic future of 2023. As a result of the global cataclysm, human civilization was almost completely destroyed, and what began to grow on its ruins resembles the Wild West. The rich hide in fenced and closely guarded private estates, patrolled by armed law enforcement forces. But the majority of the surviving population cannot afford such luxuries, so people have to deal with decaying remnants of cities with a deadly threat around every corner. Players take on the role of commanders of the units known as Sanctioned Ops, which patrol crumbling roads and highways, hunting for renegades living outside the law. Dark Future: Blood Red States offers an extensive story campaign and multiplayer gameplayWhile playing, we mainly take part in chases on highways and city roads, chasing vehicles driven by members of various gangs. The cars have solid armor and weapons, and we also have a wide range of modification options for each model. The game is played in a turn-based system. Both sides give orders simultaneously and then passively watch as their commands are carried out in a few seconds of real-time action. This solution makes it necessary to anticipate the opponent's movements, not just react to them. While driving, we can not only give orders to move or attack, but also initiate a number of dangerous maneuvers, the successful execution of which can tip the scales of victory on our side.
