The Western Front Armies is an add-on to Company of Heroes 2, a second-war strategy game released in 2013. It differs from the previous minor DLC, however, in that it is a standalone expansion that does not require the original version of the game on the disc. Characteristic features of the add-on are also its large size, as well as its intended use only for multiplayer games.  As the title suggests, the DLC focuses on the European Western Front of World War II. This is quite a change from the "base" as it was completely focused on the Eastern Front. The British Forces is the third standalone expansion designed for Company of Heroes 2. Developers from Relic Entertainment studio, as in the case of the first expansion pack, Armies of the Western Front, once again focused solely on multiplayer. This DLC does not require the basic version of the game on the disc.  Together with The British Forces, created for PCs, the developers have implemented a new and long-awaited faction of the British army to the online gameplay.
