In Pursuit of Loath Nolder is the first part of the series planned for three installments. The story begins in November 2011, in the Lovecraftian town of Hilltown. The main character of the game is a police detective Howard E. Loreid, who is tasked with unraveling the murder of Clark Field, an influential man who is fascinated by magic and the occult. The suspect is a certain Loath Nolder, a once successful private investigator. Nolder's past is full of mysterious events - one day Loath severed all ties with family and friends and for five years disappeared in the darkest corners of Africa. Exactly what he did there is unknown, but the experience he gained there completely changed him. When he returned from his mysterious journeys, however, he agreed to accept the task of finding Clark Field. The effect, however, was far from what was expected - the detective himself ended up being a murder suspect. The plot looks quite encouraging, and this is not the only argument that the game's creators have at their disposal. We are dealing with a large number of classic elements for adventure games and detective games, but there are several novelties, and a large caliber of them. When it comes to the first ones, they undoubtedly include the point & click interface with a choice of options such as pick up, put away, open or use. During the game, the atmosphere of mystery and danger lurks just around the corner. Every step we come across references to Lovecraft, Necronomicon and Abdul al Hazred. The main character moves through locations such as dark and damp underground passages, strange ruins, mysterious mansions and old cemeteries. Permanent elements are the ubiquitous shadows and fog, and everything is sprinkled with chilling music and sound effects. When it comes to novelties, the most important are two. One is related to the main character's perception of the world. And so, at the moment when the detective gets particularly agitated, the way of observing the surroundings will change. For example, when Howard gets scared, the field of view will shift rapidly, blurring the image, as if the protagonist were making quick movements of his head in different directions. The way new information is provided and tips are obtained has also been treated in a quite unique way. Well, in Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder, information can be used just like items. This means that the right combination of two clues will lead to the acquisition of a new one. Similarly, you can get hints from people you meet or from elements of the environment.

Oriental Empires is a PC turn-based 4X strategy game. It was developed by Ntronium Games studio, and the project was led by Robert T. Smith, who served as the lead designer on Medieval II: Total War and Armada 2526.  The action takes place in ancient China and the authors' aim was to realistically recreate the history and civilization of this country. The game covers a period of three thousand years - from 1500 BC. up to 1500. We start the game as the leader of a small tribe and our task is, of course, to transform him into a great empire. To this end, we cultivate the land, collect resources, build new cities, and recruit and train amia.  It is necessary to establish laws, construct buildings, conduct research on new technologies, as well as develop culture and take care of satisfying the religious needs of subordinates. The latter plays a crucial role as the ultimate goal of the player is to make his emperor universally recognized by Chinese society as the Son of Heaven and the rightful ruler of the world.  Of course, not only we have a taste for the title of emperor, so it is necessary to subjugate other parties, which we can do both by force and diplomacy. In total, there are sixteen factions in the game with unique features, and at the beginning of the game we choose which one to lead. All of this takes place on a large map that accurately recreates the geography of China and Mongolia.  During the game, we will also not avoid wars. Battles are impressive in size and can be played by thousands of units. The creators made sure that within each division, different faces and clothes were clearly visible, so that we did not command clone armies. The clashes are played in a turn-based system, on the same map on which we manage the empire. Oriental Empires is a PC turn-based 4X strategy game. It was developed by Ntronium Games studio, and the project was led by Robert T. Smith, who served as the lead designer on Medieval II: Total War and Armada 2526.  The action takes place in ancient China and the authors' aim was to realistically recreate the history and civilization of this country. The game covers a period of three thousand years - from 1500 BC. up to 1500. We start the game as the leader of a small tribe and our task is, of course, to transform him into a great empire. To this end, we cultivate the land, collect resources, build new cities, and recruit and train amia.  It is necessary to establish laws, construct buildings, conduct research on new technologies, as well as develop culture and take care of satisfying the religious needs of subordinates. The latter plays a crucial role as the ultimate goal of the player is to make his emperor universally recognized by Chinese society as the Son of Heaven and the rightful ruler of the world.  Of course, not only we have a taste for the title of emperor, so it is necessary to subjugate other parties, which we can do both by force and diplomacy. In total, there are sixteen factions in the game with unique features, and at the beginning of the game we choose which one to lead. All of this takes place on a large map that accurately recreates the geography of China and Mongolia.  During the game, we will also not avoid wars. Battles are impressive in size and can be played by thousands of units. The creators made sure that within each division, different faces and clothes were clearly visible, so that we did not command clone armies. The clashes are played in a turn-based system, on the same map on which we manage the empire.
