The French team Asobo Studio is responsible for the project, which in 2019 released the award-winning action adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game is the first full-size installment of the series since Microsoft Flight Simulator X, released in 2006. Unlike the simplified Microsoft Flight, we get a powerful simulator that covers the entire Earth and offers as many as thirty-seven thousand airports. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in its basic version allows you to take control of 20 planes. The player has at his disposal mainly general aviation units such as the Cessna 172, acrobatic planes and huge passenger machines with the Boeing 747 at the helm. The authors put emphasis on realism. In relation to the FSX, not only the simulation of individual systems and aircraft flight models has been improved, but also the variability of air masses near mountains or tall buildings has been mapped. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 also introduces such an important novelty as realistic longitudinal slope of runways and various types of surfaces. The game offers special tutorials that guide you step by step through the take-off procedures of individual planes and the subsequent stages of the flight. The degree of realism can be adjusted according to the user's experience. At lower difficulty settings, the plane can be fully controlled from the outside view, with all key flight parameters - these are displayed in the corners of the screen through a simplified interface. The simulator has also been enriched with multi-layer, volumetric clouds, and data on weather conditions is downloaded from the network on an ongoing basis. The game has an impressive graphic design. The machines have been recreated down to the smallest detail, and the locations are dripping with details thanks to the use of photogrammetry and satellite photos taken for the Bing Maps service in their creation. Such solutions have their limitations, which is usually affected by the detail of the map, which is why some of the known airports and objects were modeled by hand. The creators of Microsoft Flight Simulator were also helped in generating scenery by an artificial intelligence developed by Blackshark.ai, which allowed for terrain recognition and filling it with default objects such as trees and buildings. Huge amounts of data are downloaded on an ongoing basis from the virtual Azure cloud. The game offers support for many controllers: from a mouse and keyboard, through a gamepad, to joysticks and HOTAS sets. Reception The initial reception of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 was positive. The reviewers praised the game’s graphics, attention to detail, and gameplay mechanics. The scale of the faithfully recreated world was also noted as a positive, as was the stable of available machines. All in all, MFS 2020 is expected to continue the grand traditions of Microsoft’s series of excellent flight simulators. Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is a refreshed version of the first installment of the legendary real-time strategy series, released on PC. Compared to the original from 1997, the new edition has received improved graphics, a fully symphonic soundtrack and many improvements in the gameplay mechanics. Story Age of Empires: Definitive Edition includes content from the original Age of Empires and the Rise of Rome expansion. For the purposes of the remaster, the scenarios intended for solo play - set in ancient times, from the Stone Age to the Iron Age - have been enriched with new narrative elements. It’s still a good old real-time strategy game, where you need to send workers to gather resources, build your base, recruit an army, make research, and use the technological advantage to surprise and wipe out your enemies. These include balance changes based on the community feedback, simultaneous research and unit build queues, and an ability to auto-reset fish traps. Now it’s fair and just plays smart, providing a much greater challenge for those who enjoy a single-player experience or those who wish to improve their skills before trying to play against other people online. Game Modes Age of Empires: Definitive Edition offers single-player scenarios and campaigns, as well as multiplayer skirmishes that can be competitively played online with other people. Definitive Edition comes with some important improvements in multiplayer, namely matchmaking features, integrated leaderboard and ladder, and support for crossplay between Steam and the Microsoft Store, allowing players to play together no matter the platform. Reception According to the pre-release reviews, the Definitive Edition of Age of Empires 2 is going to meet or even exceed critics’ expectations. Reviewers mostly agreed that the strongest point of the Definitive Edition is the introduction of certain new features and quality of life additions without sacrificing the spirit of the original game. The production originally appeared on the Xbox 360 console under the name Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure, as a title that requires the Kinect motion sensor to work - the refreshed version of the game described here allows you to have fun using the second generation of this sensor (on the Xbox One console) and with the use of the pad (on the computer and console). Story In Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure, players can play the main characters of the most popular cinema animated films created by the title label Pixar. We are talking about characters known from The Incredibles, Cars, Finding Dory, Toy Story, Ratatuja and Up. Gameplay Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure takes us on a journey to worlds known from the above-mentioned paintings. During the game, we visit, among others, the American wilderness known from Cars, the South American jungle from the Departure and Paris from Ratatuja. Players take control of individual heroes during the most important moments and situations from the movies - to complete the tasks they are faced with, they must demonstrate dexterity and speed, as well as the ability to arrange puzzles, logical thinking and associating facts. While the gameplay in Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure does not differ much from the genre scheme, the controls in the console version of the game deserve a separate mention. If we decide to play with Kinect, during the struggle we have to control the characters visible on the screen by making certain gestures in front of the camera; from time to time the title also requires a voice command.
