The Wisteria Floribunda, also known as the Japanese Wisteria, is a plant that is native to Japan. The history of the plant is that originally it was brought from Japan to the United States in the 1830s and made it around the world since then. The plant has a high hardiness rating of H6, making it a very durable plant. Preferably this plant should be placed in well drained soil. The plant has a very high tolerance temperature wise so is perfect throughout the UK. For the best results, it is advisable to plant your Wisteria in Autumn or Spring and to prune twice a year around the July/August and January / February period. Green throughout the year, the summer really brings out the majestic beauty in this plant by producing a lovely blue, pink and white colour.
