The allure and legend of the Gibson J-45 continues with the new Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45. Inspired by the holy grail of vintage acoustic instruments, the luthiers of Montana have meticulously crafted a J-45 identical to the most popular and famous version in terms of structure and components. The new J-45 1942 Banner features a hand-painted, heat-aged red Adirondack spruce top with a historic-style sparkle, a hot-glued board bracing for enhanced tonal response, a head nut and a bone bridge nut. It has a Light Aged finish made by skilled craftsmen at the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Light Aged finish treatment, paired with slightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light wear, giving it the unique character, feel and feel of an original model from the Golden Age by Gibson.
