Being microprocessor based the detector offers extensive algorithms for analysis and decision making. Taking ambient operating conditions into consideration system adjustments such as drift compensation and alarm and fault analysis are automatic. The sensitivity of the detector is adjustable to suit various application conditions.InstallationThe number of reflectors in a system varies depending on the required operating distance detection range of the detector. Optical reflectors from 1 to 4 provide an effective range of the detector between 5 and 100m. Four reflectors are supplied with the beam. The detection range of the beam can be selected from 4 levels with the hand held programmer NC-D-PT. These ancillary boards extend the signals from the extinguishing system to other control or signalling equipment e.g. the building management BMS or other fire alarm systems that may be present in the building.Up to 7 ancillary boards can be connected to the FireBeta XTXT control panel via a fully monitored RS485 communication link. This allows for the same signalling capabilities at multiple locations up to 1200 m away from the main control panel.Every ancillary board is provided with 10 potential free changeover contact outputs each allocated to a specific extinguishing system function. On board status LEDs are provided to indicate the status of each output. These LEDs illuminate when the output is active.Ancillary boards may be mounted inside the extinguishing control panel cabinet or remotely in external enclosures. If an overheat or fire situation triggers either zone of the digital cable the unit automatically calculates and displays the distance along the cable in feet and metres to the alarm point.The two zones can operate independently of each other or in interlock mode. A separate alarm and normally conducting fault output are provided for each zone. The unit is intended to be installed between the AlarmLine II digital EN linear heat detection cable and a conventional or addressable fire alarm control panel. It has power fault and alarm indicators as well as free outputs for fault and alarm corresponding to each zone. It may also be connected to a industrial process control system using the two wire RS-485 Modbus RTU output.Modbus communicationThe unit includes a two wire RS-485 Modbus output which can be enabled to output the status of each zone of the digital location control unit via Modbus RTUASCII protocol. Thanks to the most advanced technologies the EST-S series loudspeakers combine excellent acoustic parameters and high aesthetics with resistance to mechanical damages and varying weather conditions.They are distinguished by easy and quick installation. Quality standards and audio characteristics have been confirmed through multiple tests and trials employing such facilities as e.g. echo proof chamber resistance and integrity testing equipment as well as chambers for resistance to weather and air humidity testing.
