Laurus Nobilis, also known as the bay laurel, bay tree, true laurel or Grecian laurel tree is a popular fragrant evergreen shrub suitable for containers or planted in the ground as a small tree. The Magnolia Grandiflora is a plant that is native to the Southern U.S states, ranging from Southeastern North Carolina, Central Florida and all the way to East Texas. Commonly called the Holly Oak tree, Quercus Ilex often live for more than a thousand years. They are large evergreens with very dense crowns of leaves. They have strong polymorphic leaf of 2 - 9cm long; the younger leaves are wider and have toothed, sharp margins. The colour and texture of the Quercus Ilex varies from hairy, tender and pale green when they first appear to a leathery, dark green, covered in soft white hairs on the underside, when adult. Both male and female flowers are borne on catkins and appear in June, the first ones being the most decorative as they are a soft yellow. Commonly called the Holly Oak tree, Quercus Ilex often live for more than a thousand years. They are large evergreens with very dense crowns of leaves. They have strong polymorphic leaf of 2 - 9cm long; the younger leaves are wider and have toothed, sharp margins. The colour and texture of the Quercus Ilex varies from hairy, tender and pale green when they first appear to a leathery, dark green, covered in soft white hairs on the underside, when adult. Both male and female flowers are borne on catkins and appear in June, the first ones being the most decorative as they are a soft yellow. Grows in poor soil, but prefers calcareous, and does not like clay. Will withstand a lack of water in hot, dry summers and tolerates any kind of pruning. The Fig Tree (Ficus Carica) Extra is an eye-catching Mediterranean plant that makes a brilliant centrepiece for any garden, with its smooth grey-barked trunk and lush foliage. Its attractive large leaves have 3-5 lobes and are known for their pleasant fragrance. The fig tree is a deciduous tree which originates in the Middle East and is native to Syria and Persia where it grows among rocks and scrub on hot dry soils.
