Henry's Gin Produced on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, this gin is produced by Henry van der Kwast (from where the name of the gin comes from). His ancestors have lived on the island since 1659, and were involved in the development of Senior Genuine Curaçao Liqueur. The island is pristine, and has exotic vegetation - and its this which helps to give Henry's Gin its exceptional character. They use four traditional locally grown botanicals and citrus peels in its production.  Henry himself experimented to find the right botanicals for the gin, and along with Juniper used lemongrass, oregano and yerba buena. But it was missing something. Finally he chose Laraha orange, a remarkable citrus fruit which is only found on Curaçao. Whilst inedible due to its extreme bitterness, the zest contains essential oils which give a delicious aroma. Working with the Senior Genuine Curaçao Liqueur Distillery Henry found a way to incorporate this - and so Henry's Gin was born. The gin itself has been received to much acclaim. It's a contemporary gin, with definite roots in the island of its production Fresh, not at all over-powering with a delicious aroma and flavour.  Perfect Serve For a deliciously refreshing G&T, mix with The Artisan Drinks Co. Indian Tonic. In a large glass add 50ml of Henry's gin, and pour over 150ml of the tonic. Stir gently, and garnish with a slice of orange.

Tanqueray No. Ten Gin It may be hard to imagine improving on the original Tanqueray, but this gin does just that. Introduced to the world in 2000 it was developed with an extreme passion for quality, and attention to detail which resulted in a gin which, we have to admit, is an exquisite addition to any bar, or drinks cupboard. Tanqueray No. Ten utilises the classic botanicals from Tanqueray (Juniper, Coriander, Angelica root and Licorice), but instead of a double-distillation process, a four times distillation process is used. It is made in small batches to ensure quality in each batch. Fresh citrus flavours from limes, orange and pink grapefruit are then added, along with chamomile flowers to "Tiny Ten" (the still which gives the gin its name), which enhances this premium gin even further. The end result is a gin which is enjoyed the world over by bartenders, restauranteurs, and gin connoissseurs in general. Delightful, delicious, and exquisite citrus burts are to be found in every sip. It takes the already great Tanqueray to a new level. The citrus giving new heights of refreshment, and the chamomile adding a gentle floral edge to the aroma. We can certainly see why this is so well thought of, and feel its a must add to any gin shelf. It's worthy of note that this is the only gin to have been inducted in the San Francisco World Spirits competition hall of fame! Well deserved. Add a neutral tonic (such as Fentimans Indian Tonic), lots of ice and a wedge of pink grapefruit. To enhance the citrus flavours that little bit more, try adding Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic, which brings a zestiness to the drink from the orange oils in the tonic. For a cocktail, this makes an absolutely amazing Martini. Stir (not shake!) 50ml of gin with 10ml of Martini Extra Dry Vermouth, and strain into a chilled Martini glass.
