Henry's Gin Produced on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, this gin is produced by Henry van der Kwast (from where the name of the gin comes from). His ancestors have lived on the island since 1659, and were involved in the development of Senior Genuine Curaçao Liqueur. The island is pristine, and has exotic vegetation - and its this which helps to give Henry's Gin its exceptional character. They use four traditional locally grown botanicals and citrus peels in its production.  Henry himself experimented to find the right botanicals for the gin, and along with Juniper used lemongrass, oregano and yerba buena. But it was missing something. Finally he chose Laraha orange, a remarkable citrus fruit which is only found on Curaçao. Whilst inedible due to its extreme bitterness, the zest contains essential oils which give a delicious aroma. Working with the Senior Genuine Curaçao Liqueur Distillery Henry found a way to incorporate this - and so Henry's Gin was born. The gin itself has been received to much acclaim. It's a contemporary gin, with definite roots in the island of its production Fresh, not at all over-powering with a delicious aroma and flavour.  Perfect Serve For a deliciously refreshing G&T, mix with The Artisan Drinks Co. Indian Tonic. In a large glass add 50ml of Henry's gin, and pour over 150ml of the tonic. Stir gently, and garnish with a slice of orange.

Don Julio Reposado Don Julio González had niet veel, maar wat hij wel had was passie en een droom. Het begon allemaal in 1942 in Mexico, toen hij een unieke kans zag in de productie van tequila. Nadat hij zijn visie had gedeeld en een lening had afgesloten bij een machtige lokale zakenman, opende Don Julio zijn eerste tequila-distilleerderij in La Primavera, in de Jaliscaanse Hooglanden. Het was zijn passie die 's werelds eerste luxe tequila inspireerde. Veertig jaar lang liep Don Julio elke dag langs de agavevelden, waarbij hij het gras rond elke plant (die meer op zijn kinderen leek dan op een gewas) maaide om ze te beschermen. Hij oogstte elke plant afzonderlijk en koos de planten met de meest optimale rijpheid en gezondheid, en bracht op vakkundige wijze de bittere smaak van de piña (het hart) en de zoete bladeren van de agave in evenwicht. Het klimaat in de Jaliscan Highlands is het perfecte microklimaat voor de blauwe agave, met warme dagen, koele nachten en rijke kleigrond. De grote hoogte maakte landbouw en oogsten een uitdaging. Het was fysiek veeleisend, maar Don Julio doorstond de extreme omstandigheden om een luxe tequila te creëren met een uitzonderlijke substantie en een onbetwistbare spirit. Don Julio Reposado Tequila is een zachte en elegante oude tequila. De basis is gemaakt met Don Julio Blanco, een tequila in zijn meest ware vorm, ongerijpt, dubbel gedistilleerd en gemaakt met de beste blauwe agave met behulp van een beproefd distillatieproces. Hij rust 8 maanden in Amerikaanse witte eikenhouten vaten, wat resulteert in een tequila die een gouden amberkleur en een rijke en gladde afdronk geeft. In de neus zijn er uitnodigende aroma's van zachte citroencitrus, gelaagde kruiden en een vleugje rijp steenfruit. In de mond geniet je van hints van bittere pure chocolade, zoete vanille en een vleugje kaneel. De zachte en zijdezachte afdronk is verwarmend met gedroogd fruit, noten en karamelappel. Meer van Don Julio Perfect Serve Perfect om met ijs te serveren of in een koude cocktail na het eten. Giet 45 ml Don Julio Reposado Tequila in een cocktailshaker met ijs en voeg 60 ml koude melk toe. Als je van een beetje zoetigheid houdt, voeg dan 10 ml suikersiroop toe (voeg meer of minder toe naar smaak). Goed schudden, in een glas met ijs gieten en er 30 ml cold brew koffie bij gieten.

In de mond is de gekookte agave in balans met wilde honing, met eikenhout doordrenkte butterscotch en een vleugje vanille. Het heeft een heldere en licht gekruide afdronk.
