Blacks Golden Rum 70cl

Blacks Golden Rum Gelegen aan de Wild Atlantic Way (een schilderachtige route in het zuiden van Ierland), werd The Blacks Brewery opgericht in 2013. Het is een familiebedrijf en is eigendom van en wordt geëxploiteerd door Sam & Maudeline Black (vandaar de naam!). Hun ethos was om (aanvankelijk) bieren te creëren die geen massamarkt waren. Ze wilden producten met passie en persoonlijkheid. In 2015 besloten ze uit te breiden en voegden ze een ultramoderne distilleerderij toe, waardoor ze ook gedistilleerde dranken konden produceren. Hun eerste was gin, die in 2018 werd gevolgd met de eerste Irish Rum en in 2020 met whisky. Deze cross-over stelt hen ook in staat om hun bieren te laten rijpen in gedistilleerde vaten, en vice versa, waardoor ze extra smaakdiepten aan hun drankjes toevoegen. Met hun Golden Rum schreef Blacks in 2018 geschiedenis door de allereerste Irish Rum te creëren. Dit wordt van begin tot eind gedistilleerd in hun distilleerderij in Kinsale met behulp van de beste suikerrietmelasse. Dit werd uitzonderlijk goed ontvangen op de wereldmarkt en won goud bij de World Rum Awards - geen geringe prestatie voor de eerste Irish Rum! De inspiratie achter de rum was de geschiedenis van piraten die in de 18e eeuw de Ierse kust plunderden en plunderden. Een duidelijke door mannen gedomineerde 'business', totdat Anne Bonny verscheen en de beroemdste vrouwelijke piraat ter wereld werd. En waar kwam ze vandaan... nou ja, Kinsale natuurlijk, het huis van Blacks. Met hun rum spelen Blacks ook niet volgens de regels, ze zijn innovatief in hun benadering van distilleren en creëren een assortiment waarvan ze vinden dat ze hun naam rechtvaardigen (en negeren trends in de markt). Deze aanpak leidt tot eigenzinnige en heerlijke smaken die je elders misschien niet vindt. Hun Golden Rum wordt gerijpt in enkele Ierse malt whiskyvaten (die de 12 jaar oude Irish Whiskey van Blacks hebben gerijpt), waardoor het een ongelooflijk robuust karakter heeft. De neus zal dessertliefhebbers onmiddellijk aanspreken, met aroma's van butterscotch, bonoffee pie en vanille maple syrup - evenals onderliggend gekonfijt fruit. In de mond is hij fluweelzacht, met rijke toffeesmaken aangevuld met mahonie, met karamel omhulde noten en een fruitige, lichte tot medium body. Verrukkelijk! Meer van Blacks Perfect Serve Dit is heerlijk met ijs en werkt ook goed in de mix. Probeer de modieuze piratencocktail. Voeg in een mengglas gevuld met ijs 60 ml rum, 2 scheutjes Angostura bitters, 10 ml water en 10 ml suikersiroop toe. Roer goed en zeef in een rocks glas. Garneer met een vleugje sinaasappelschil.

Licor 43 Original This Spanish liquer was first produced by the Zamora family in Spain, Licor 43 has a a history which goes back to 1946. In fact, it was inspired by a golden and aromatic elixir called Liqvor Mirabilis which was banned by the Romans! With the arrival of tourism in the 60's the world discovered Licor 43, and it truly became a taste of Spain to many. Now in the 21st century, Licor 43 is available in well over fifty countries, and is the most international Spanish liqueur.  Licor 43 liqueur is exceptionally smooth, and has a instantly recognisable golden colour. The name hints at the recipe, with there being 43 all natural ingredients involved in its creation.  The bright golden hue of the drink really does reflect its Mediterranean heritage, evoking feelings of sun drenched golden beaches.  Whilst Licor 43 is a secret blend, it has a complex flavour profile. It is sweet, with a strong blend of citrus. There is a mild spiciness, with a touch of coriander, and floral notes from soft orange and lemon blossoms. There are botanical notes, and a hint of fruity warmth from ripe fruit. Once blended, the liqueur is rested between 6 and 9 months, so as to develop the flavours.  Read more about Licor 43 Perfect Serve Licor 43 is extremely smooth, so very easily drunk on its own or over ice. But for those of you a little more adventurous, or who want to try something new - we have three cocktail options. For a Ginger hit, try a Ginger 43. In a glass filled with ice, add 50ml of Licor 43 and 200ml of Ginger Ale (We like Double Dutch for this). Add the juice of half a lime and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime. For a deliciously fruity and sweet warm drink (perfect for cold days / evenings), try a Hot Apple 43. Heat 150ml of apple juice with a stick of cinnamon in it (warm it, don't boil!). Add the licor 43 in and remove the cinnamon stick. Pour into a glass. If you're feeling decadent, garnish with some whipped cream, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Or lastly, for a really refreshing citrus hit, try a Mediterranean Breeze. Fill a small glass with crushed ice, and pour over 50ml of licor 43 and 25ml of Limoncello. Stir, and then garnish with a twist of lemon peel.

From that day they began selling exceptional whisky, gin and vodka. For all of their spirits, including their whiskys only the best early harvest wheat, barley and rye are selected to be used. These are all grown within 20 miles of their home in Chatham, working with known farmers. Their Column Malt Whisky is one of Britain’s first single malt whisky's to be distilled in a column still. For this they took inspiration from the Japanese and American distilleries. They use 100% Belgravia Barley which is grown at 40 acre field. Their mash has a long fermentation before its initial pot distillation. After this, there is a second distillation in the 10 meter tall column still. This unique column still creates a deliciously smooth, easy drinking whisky. The final stage is ageing in first full American Oak Bourbon Barrels. The resulting whisky has an intruiging balance of flavours. It has an aroma full of Vanilla mousse with candied zest, toffee apple and light oak shavings. Whilst on the palate there is a lingering sweet cream with dried plantain, fresh cut pear and a nutty, peppery finish. Tatratea Peach Tea Liqueur The origins of Tatra Tea go back to the customs of those who lived in the High Tatras Mountain ranges of Slovakia. Masthouse Single Malt Whisky Gemaakt door de Copper Rivet Distillery in Kent - de locatie van de distilleerderij heeft een rijke traditie van innovatie en vakmanschap. In 2016 begonnen ze met distilleren, maar pas in 2017 gingen ze officieel open. Op vrijdag 1 december opende ZKH The Princess Royal (de Britse Prinses Anne) officieel de Copper Rivet Distillery in Chatham's Historic Docky. Vanaf die dag begonnen ze met de verkoop van uitzonderlijke whisky, gin en wodka. Hun Single Malt whisky wordt gemaakt met 100% Kentish Belgravia Barley die wordt verbouwd op 40 Acre Field. Hun beslag ondergaat een lang gistingsproces voordat het in potten wordt gedistilleerd. Als dit is voltooid, wordt de whisky gerijpt in een combinatie van first fill American Oak Bourbon en Virgin Oak vaten. Dit is een whisky die de perfecte balans heeft tussen zijn rijke, complexe smaak en toch toegankelijk blijft. Hij zit vol met smaken van knapperige groene appels en gemberkoekjes, hinten van tropisch fruit en heerlijke bloemige middentonen. Patridom Gran Reserva Rum The Patridom series of rums contains four delicate rums from the Dominican Republic, all of which are tropically aged. Each has been created with passion, using the fresh juices extracted from hand-cut sugar cane. The aging is then completed in American and French oak barrels.  Crafted by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the largest alcohol producer in the Dominican Republic, they use only sugar cane grown in the Dominican Republic on their own plantations. In this way they ensure they give back to the community, securing work for locals and ensuring the perfect quality. The first rum in this series is their Gran Reserva. With its beautiful golden-brown colour, it has an aroma of ripe apricots, and a slight tart note which develops into warming brown sugar, milk chocolate and maple syrup.  On the palate this has a pleasant sweetness with hints of vanilla. Blacks Honeycomb Rum Located on the Wild Atlantic Way (a scenic route in the south of Ireland), The Blacks Brewery was started in 2013. A family run company, it is owned and operated by Sam & Maudeline Black (hence the name!). Their ethos was to create (initially) beers which weren't mass market. They wanted products with passion and personality. In 2015 they decided to expand and added a state-of-the-art distillery which allowed them to produce spirits as well. Their first was gin, which was followed in 2018 with the first Irish Rum, and then in 2020 with whiskey. This cross-over also allow them to age their beers in spirit barrels, and vice versa - adding additional depths of flavour to their drinks. Blacks made history when they produced Ireland's first ever rum at their distillery in KInsale. Their award winning rum is distilled from start to finish using the finest sugar cane molasses and has been recognised across the world. Blacks Honeycomb Rum is made using their original Golden Rum, which is then aged on sweet chunks of honeycomb. This rum is deliciously smooth and has a rich and deep butterscotch flavour.
