Ring of Pain is a hybrid production that combines the features of a dungeon crawler, roguelike and card games. The game is also distinguished by an unusual artistic style and atmosphere. The developer Simon Boxer in cooperation with Twice Different studio is responsible for its development. The publisher is Humble Bundle. Ring of Pain takes place in a world distorted by the psyche of an unnamed main character. It is a place full of danger, fear and illusion. In exploring it, we are helped by a mysterious creature called the Owl, who tries to protect the protagonist from the impending curse. The key to finding a way out is knowing the characters' past. In Ring of Pain, the fun is about "exploring" a location composed of a randomly selected set of cards arranged in a circle (it is a bit like some card / board games known from the real world, such as Munchkin). The player has the ability to interact with individual tiles, causing specific effects. Sometimes we find items that offer passive bonuses - the character we play has several fields that can be filled with cards, but we have to choose carefully, because each of them can only contain one (and some of them offer additional buffs if we use them simultaneously). While exploring, we can also come across an event or meet an enemy for whom the collected things will be useful. The order of the cards in the circle also matters - the monsters present in the circle signal their plans, and the player can adjust his strategy based on this information.

One Step From Eden is a strategy game with card and roguelike elements. The production is a continuation of the cycle started in 2009. The title allows players to fight tactical duels with the computer or another user. Thomas Moon Kang (with the support of other developers) is responsible for its creation. Humble Bundle and Maple Whispering Limited have taken over the publisher responsibilities. In One Step From Eden, the gameplay consists of battles with opponents controlled by the computer or another player. We observe the game world from the side (from the so-called side-scroll perspective). The fights take place in real time, on a board divided into square fields - we can freely move our character from side to side, up and down to avoid enemy attacks or to work out a better position to counter. The range of available options and special abilities depends on the selected character (the production offers several different heroes) and the cards you have - the game features several hundred spells, a similar number of different enemies (including powerful bosses, which constitute a unique challenge) and over a hundred items that increase the possibilities player character. Abilities can be combined into powerful combinations. The board on which we fight may also be important for the fight (sets of locations are generated randomly). As the game progresses, we make choices and acquire new cards, which allows us to cope with increasingly tougher challenges. In One Step From Eden we can play alone or with others. In single player mode, we choose the next locations on which we will fight, thanks to a special tree, trying to get as far as possible. When it comes to playing with others, the production offers a local multiplayer module (we play on a shared screen, cooperatively or against each other).

Void Bastards is a science fiction first person shooter. It was enriched with strategic elements and typical for roguelike production. The project was developed by Blue Manchu studio, with the highly acclaimed Card Hunter. The development team included people who played key roles in the production of titles such as System Shock 2 or BioShock. Story The action of the game takes place in the distant future and follows the journey of the Ark, on which the prisoners are detained. The leitmotif of Void Bastards is getting out of the Sargasso nebula, densely packed with drifting wrecks of spacecraft. This task is undertaken by subsequent prisoners and in the event of the death of one of them, the deceased is automatically replaced by the next one. Void Bastards does not have an extensive storyline. We only learn the general assumptions of the game and after starting the actual game we focus only on gameplay. During the campaign, we do not receive any quests, because the whole game focuses on constructing story items that will be helpful in escaping the nebula. However, there were also simple cut-scenes that took the form of comic book cards. Gameplay Void Bastards is a genre hybrid in which the gameplay is divided into two levels. In strategic mode, we always see only a fragment of the nebula. We need to skillfully manage our supplies of food, fuel, ammunition and other raw materials, as well as decide where to go. Traveling to lower levels of the nebula allows you to advance in the campaign, but on the other hand, it is associated with greater challenges. The void of space is patrolled by star whales and pirates, so in the early stages of the game it is necessary to avoid contact with these threats. There are also random events on the galaxy map, such as the appearance of a wormhole, an automated store where we can buy the most necessary supplies, or a storehouse of valuable loot.
