All Series 65 bases have a one way only fit. Detectors can be locked into place by a grub screw using a 1.5mm hexagonal screwdriver.OperationThe bases are of 100mm diameter and have five terminals marked according to their function Line 1 in line 1 out line 2 in and out remote indicator negative earth. Detectors are polarity insensitive so that identification of positive and negative lines is only required if a remote LED is fitted. An earth connection is not required for either safety or correct operation of detectors.The earth terminal is provided for tidy termination of earthed conductors or cable screens and to maintain earth continuity where necessary. Bases have a wide interior diameter for ease of access to cables and terminals and there are two slots for fixing screws at a spacing of 51 to 69mm. Apollo Series 65 Standard Base - 45681-200The Series 65 Standard Base has been designed to enable detectors to be fitted without the need of force - particularly useful when fitting to suspended ceilings. All Series 65 bases have a one way only fit. Detectors can be locked into place by a grub screw using a 1.5mm hexagonal screwdriver.OperationAll detectors in the Series 65 range fit into Series 60 standard mounting bases. The bases are of 100mm diameter and have five terminals marked according to their function Line 1 in line 1 out line 2 in and out remote indicator negative earth. Detectors are polarity insensitive so that identification of positive and negative lines is only required if a remote LED is fitted. An earth connection is not required for either safety or correct operation of detectors.The earth terminal is provided for tidy termination of earthed conductors or cable screens and to maintain earth continuity where necessary. Bases have a wide interior diameter for ease of access to cables and terminals and there are two slots for fixing screws at a spacing of 51 to 69mm. Apollo Cat O. XP95 Sounder VAD Base with Isolator 45681-705APOThe XP95 Sounder VAD Base is a loop-powered sounder and EN 54-23 approved VAD combined with a standard intelligent mounting base. It is used to signal a fire alarm in enclosed areas.You can perform a Self Test this is an important safety feature which has been incorporated into the Sounder VAD Bases when it is switched on it tests itself by checking the actual sound output and flash operation.There are 3 possible outcomes from the test if the transmitter readsA value of 1 Sounder fault this means there was no sound detected in 5 seconds of the sounder being switched on.A value of 2 VAD fault means there is no current being drawn by the LEDs.A value of 3 Sounder and VAD fault where neither of the above elements are operating correctly.If no sound is detected within 5 seconds of the Sounder VAD Bases being switched on it will transmit an analogue value of 1 sounder fault when it is next polled.This feature can also be used during commissioning or periodical maintenance testing. Simply activate the Sounder VAD for at least 5 seconds and check the control panel for a fault signal.
