Apollo Blank XPert Card for XPander Wireless Range RedSpare singular blank XPERT card in red for the XPander range. XPander incorporates entirely new designs with respect to the wireless communication system. A Radio Interface is connected to the loop.XPander incorporates entirely new designs with respect to the wireless communication system. A Radio Interface is connected to the loop. It communicates with the control panel using the Apollo addressable two-wire power and communications system. The interface communicates with the detection and alarm signalling devices by means of radio waves. The detectors are multistate in that they report normal pre-alarm fire or fault states to the radio base which transmits the information to the interface. The detectors incorporate drift compensation and report any compensation limit occurring. The radio bases and signalling devices are addressable and use a pre-set analogue value to report via the XP95 or Discovery protocol. Apart from normal and fire the bases can send pre-set analogue values to indicate low battery detector contaminated detector tamper and low signal strength fault conditions.Brand Featuresmodern styling loop-powered interface operating on 868MHz wireless addresses seen by control panel as normal addresses radio base with wireless circuitry and battery compartment chamber designed to inhibit dirt penetration and thus reduce false alarms automatic drift compensation with DirtAlert warning algorithms for transient alarm rejection FasTest reduces time taken to test detectors remote test facility 3-5 years battery lifeProduct InformationAddress card supplied with all bases. Apollo Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector with Flashing LED and Magnetic Test Switch 55000-315APO

Apollo Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector with Flashing LED and Magnetic Test Switch 55000-315APO

Apollo Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector with Flashing LED and Magnetic Test Switch 55000-315APOThe Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector incorporates a pulsing LED located within the housing of the detector. The external detector moulding is identical to that of the ionisation detector and has an indicator LED which is clear in quiescent state but produces a red light in alarm.OperationThe Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector has a moulded self-extinguishing white polycarbonate case with wind resistant smoke inlets. Nickel-plated stainless-steel wiper contacts connect the detector to the base. Inside the case a printed circuit board has the optical system mounted on one side and the signal processing electronics on the other. The sensing chamber is a black moulding configured as a labyrinth which prevents penetration of ambient light. The labyrinth has a fine gauze insect-resistant cover. The chamber houses an infrared light emitting diode LED and a photo-diode which has an integral visible-light filter as extra protection against ambient light. Every three seconds the LED emits a burst of collimated light modulated at 4kHz. In clear air light from the LED does not fall directly on the diode because the LED is positioned at an obtuse angle to the diode. When smoke enters the chamber a fraction of the collimated light is scattered onto the photo-diode. If the resulting signal from the photo-diode is above a pre-set threshold the LED emits two more bursts of light this time at two-second intervals. If light is scattered onto the photo-diode by both these pulses due to the presence of smoke the detector signals an alarm state by switching the alarm latch on increasing the current drawn from the supply from about 40A to a maximum of 75mA. This fall in the impedance of the detector is recognised by the control panel as an alarm signal. The alarm current also illuminates the detector integral LED. A remote indicator connected between the L1 IN terminal and the R terminal will have a voltage equal to the supply voltage less 1 volt across it and so will illuminate. To ensure correct operation of the detector the control panel must be arranged to supply a maximum of 33 Volts dc and a minimum of 9 Volts dc in normal operation. The supply may fall to 6 Volts dc in alarm conditions if a supply current of at least 10mA is available at this voltage. To ensure effective illumination of the integral LED and any remote indicator the supply to the detector should exceed 12 Volts. To restore the detector to quiescent condition it is necessary to expel any smoke and interrupt the electrical supply to the detector for a minimum of one second.Key FeaturesResponds well to slow-burning smouldering firesWell-suited to bedrooms and escape routesUnaffected by wind or atmospheric pressureFlashing LED and magnet operated test switch option

Apollo Integrated Base Sounder without Isolator 45681-278APO

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APO

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APO

Apollo XP95 Beacon Base with Isolator - 45681-333APOThe Visual Indicator Base is a loop-powered visual indicator combined with a standard Intelligent Mounting Base. It is used to signal a fire alarm in enclosed areas. The visual indicator base can be used with either a detector fitted or with a cap as a stand-alone alarm device. The base is loop powered so needs no external power supply. It operates at 1728V DC and is polarity-sensitive.Device AddressingThe Base responds to its own individual address set with a DIL switch. It also responds to a group address set by means of a 4-segment DIL switch and to a synchronisation address which is embedded in the unit. Addresses 1 to 111 are used exclusively for individual addresses addresses 112 to 126 are used for group addressing while the synchronisation address to which all units respond is 0. Any Beacon Base on a loop may be freely assigned to a group. The address for any group must be chosen from the range 112126.Addresses 112126 may be used as individual addresses but only if the 4-segment DIL switch is not used ie group addressing is disabled. If the 4-segment DIL switch were set to any number other than the default 127 a pre-set analogue value of 4 would be transmitted to indicate a fault. The Base is normally polled by its individual address. It responds as described below. It is recommended that the synchronisation address 0 be sent by the control panel at regular intervals to align the internal clock of all sounders. The result is that the beacons are synchronised with each other when activated.Key FeaturesVisual indicator flash rate of once per secondSynchronisation of visual indicator flashIndividual and group addressingUnique visual indicator self-testLoop-poweredBuilt-in Isolator
