Creeping Blue Chip Juniper / Wiltonii (Juniperus Horizontalis Blue Chip)

Creeping Blue Chip Juniper / Wiltonii (Juniperus Horizontalis Blue Chip)

A greyish-blue shrub from North America that is excellent at covering ground. The Creeping Blue Chip Juniper is a low-growing shrub that prefers moist soil rather than dry locations. It is one of the hardiest plants we sell here at GardenPlantsOnline and is very resistant against the coldest and wettest extremes of the British weather. Junipers in general are very useful in the garden for their solid colours and for their ability to grow in highly difficult conditions. As its name suggests, the Horizontalis Blue Chip grows outwards and is an excellent choice for covering the ground and preventing soil erosion. All conifers are known for their hardiness and resilience against the elements. Conifers get their name from the "cones" that they produce – which come in all shapes and sizes. Conifer leaves are evergreen and will either be needle-shaped or scale-like. Because the Creeping Blue Chip Juniper grows outwards rather than upwards, we have listed the horizontal size of the plants that we sell right here: 3 Litre Pot: Covers a circular area of roughly 20cm in diameter. 10 Litre Pot: Covers a circular area of roughly 40cm in diameter. 18 Litre Pot: Covers a circular area of roughly 60cm in diameter. 30 Litre Pot: Covers a circular area of roughly 100cm in diameter. Juniper 'Bar Harbor' / Creeping Juniper (Juniperus Horizontalis)

Juniper 'Bar Harbor' / Creeping Juniper (Juniperus Horizontalis)

A great plant for preventing soil erosion and covering sloped surfaces in vivid green. The Bar Harbor Juniper is similar to the Creeping Blue Chip, but has leaves of a brighter green.
