Acer Shirasawanum 'Jordan' (Fullmoon Maple 'Jordan') - Shrub

Acer Shirasawanum 'Jordan' (Fullmoon Maple 'Jordan') - Shrub

Japanese maples - shrubs, saplings or small trees, deciduous, native to Asia and very popular in Japan where, together with the flowering Cherry and Pine they are the main attraction in all parks and gardens. They have a very harmonious form, elegant leaves that create attractive, colourful symphonies that change according to the season. In spring, small, reddish-purple flowers with yellow stamens grouped in hanging clusters appear. Very attractive, bright red, winged fruits, brown when mature, follow. They grow quite rapidly when young, and then more slowly, withstand the cold but may be damaged by late frosts, especially when young. They require cool, light, moist but well drained soil, slightly acid and clay. Good results are obtained in different types of soil as long as it is not heavy, stagnant or calcareous and an acidic supplement is given. Must be placed in half-shade or in a sunny position, protected from strong winds. Half-shade is absolutely necessary if the soil is sandy or very light, in hot or dry areas. Acer Shirasawanum 'Jordan' - slow growing shrub with bright golden foliage in spring, turning rich red in summer and autumn. Latin Name: Acer Shirasawanum 'Jordan' English Name: Fullmoon Maple 'Jordan' Species: Aceraceae Genus: Acer Foliage Type: Deciduous. Foliage: Golden (Spring); Red (Summer-Autumn). Cryptomeria Japonica (Hungarian Gold) - Standard

Cryptomeria Japonica (Hungarian Gold) - Standard

It has bright green foliage that has a tint of yellow when young, before maturing to green with a tint of purple in the winter. Similar in appearance to some of GardenPlantOnline’s many plants, the Japanese actually requires much less maintenance because of its slow growth-speed and it is also better suited to the British climate. All conifers are known for their hardiness and resilience against the elements. We often think of them being heavily covered with snow during the winter, but they can look equally as bold and impressive against a bright blue summer sky. Conifers get their name from the “cones” that they produce – which come in all shapes and sizes. Conifer leaves are evergreen and will either be needle-shaped or scale-like. Product Dimensions 6-8 cm: 35-50 litre pot Latin Name: Cryptomeria Japonica Hungarian Gold English Name: Japanese Cedar Genus: Cryptomeria (part of the Cedrus/Cedar and Cupressaceae/Cypress families) Foliage Type: Evergreen. Bambusa Phyllostachys Bissetii (Bisset Bamboo) – Espalier

Bambusa Phyllostachys Bissetii (Bisset Bamboo) – Espalier

The Bisetti bamboo will be first to produce new growth – which is edible – each year. The mainly upright, though slightly arching canes, glossy-green, sometimes with a purple tinge, and yellowish green when older, are of the clump-forming variety with deep green leaves that will withstand bad weather and can form a very dense canopy – don’t expect much light to reach the ground under this plant. Great on its own, in large containers or as a very effective privacy screen. Bamboos must not dry out, they must be watered well during the first growing season, if grown in containers they need plenty of room and they will always need water during dry weather. Average growth. The deep-green canes reach diameters of between 2.5 and 3 cm. The leaves, which are also a beautiful green, are narrow and lanceolate and measure between 12 cm and 15 cm in length. This is a very particular species for its high resistance to cold ( -25 °C). Portuguese Laurel Cherry (Prunus Lusitanica Angustifolia) – 3/4 Standard Espalier

Prunus Lusitanica Angustifolia is a bushy, evergreen shrub which has been widely used since Victorian times to create Italian style gardens. It has an exotic appearance with dense large dark green leaves that appear on dark red stems. Angustifolia has narrower leaves than the species with stalks and new twigs of a brighter red colour. Portuguese Laurel bears numerous racemes of scented white flowers in June, which produce red turning to black berries much loved by birds. Wisteria Tree – Standard

Wisteria Tree – Standard

Wisteria Sinensis, Chinese Wisteria, is a much-loved beautiful climber from the Far East renowned for amazing beautiful cascades of gloriously scented racemes of lavender or white flowers in spring and early summer arising from bare stems as leaves do not appear until blossoming is over. Flowering is followed by pale green divided leaves which turn yellow in the autumn. Wisteria sinensis is a vigorous deciduous climbing plant with twining stems that needs wires or trellis for support, ideal for growing against the side of a house or along a garden fence. Although Wisteria sinensis is very hardy and fast-growing , it is slow to get established and plants grown from seed may take several years to start flowering. The plants we supply are mature and capable of flowering. The plant itself has a high hardy rating of H6 making it perfect for the British climate. Just make sure to shelter in an extreme cold snap.
