In order to prevent the build-up of pipe or aspiration hole contaminates regular ASD system purging with compressed air is essential. In contrast to conventional purging systems Honeywells compact and user-friendly AFE70-2 and AFE70-3 units features a single built-in Solenoid valve which initiates. the release of air into the ASD system.This valve also increases reliability by protecting the unit from any compressed air damage and can be accessed through a control board that is integrated into the housing. Installation time is greatly reduced thanks to a compact and fully integrated design removing the need for mechanical and electrical control devices. Its a cost effective and flexible system that provides the ability to quickly respond to activated alarms.The Response Aid paging unit consists of a wall-mounted HIPS High Impact Polystyrene enclosure containing a 4 watt transmitter enclosed in an aluminium surround. It includes a 240-volt 3-pin plug status indicator LED for Power and Transmission and straight wire antenna connected to the top of the enclosure using a 38 BNC bayonet connection.The unit has the capability of 15 dry contacts 7 inputs and 8 outputs. The Input contacts can be set to normally open NO or normally closed NC with the Output contacts being normally open NO. An input contact on one paging transmitter can trigger and output contact on another Response paging transmitter on the same site widening the scope and application that Response Plus can be installed.In the event of transmitter failure power supply failure and a loss in power output from the transmitter there is a Fault output normally closed alarm accessible via internal terminal header. This is to be connected back to the fire alarm panel to alert the fire alarm panel of any failures. The system includes battery backup as standard for a minimum 24 hours after mains power failures.
