Solo C3 CO Detector Test Gas Canister 250ml

Solo C3 CO Detector Test Gas Canister 250ml

Solo C3 CO Detector Test Gas Canister Designed for functional testing of detector testers the Solo C3 Aerosol ensures that detectors that respond to smoke are in full working order. Non-flammable this product is the professionals choice for value in aerosol smoke.Carbon Monoxide CO detectors operate by using an electrochemical cell which is able to detect CO in the atmosphere and is set at a predetermined threshold. The only way to correctly test a CO detector is to introduce CO safely to the sensor from the outside demonstrating free flow from the atmosphere to the sensor. The CO contained within the Solo C3 CO canister is at a level which poses no threat to the user when used correctly. Solo CO is formulated for use with the Solo 330 Dispenser. This prevents dissipation of the CO which would occur if used handheld.CO detectors are less common that smoke and heat detectors however when installed they still need to be tested. With all our products we pride ourselves on offering genuine choice and CO testing is no different. The need for carbon monoxide testers has increased in recent years thanks to widespread media coverage focusing on the danger of CO often referred to as the silent killer. More and more domestic properties including rentals now have carbon monoxide alarms installed and these too should be tested.Key FeaturesDetector manufacturer endorsedNon-flammable CO stimulusEnables controlled delivery over short burstsCompatible with Solo 330332 dispenserPlease note Due to the nature of the contents it is usual for this can to feel very light as stated on the back of the can.

Scorpion 1011 Point Smoke Detector Tester with Access Point SCORP1011-001

Scorpion 1011 Point Smoke Detector Tester with Access Point SCORP1011-001What is ScorpionScorpion is a universal functional test solution for hard-to-access point smoke detectors. Scorpion is permanently installed adjacent to the detector it is designed to test and can be fitted as a retrofit or as part of a new installation. The smoke test is then run from a convenient position whenever required.Scorpion activates smoke detectors ionization and optical photoelectric technologies from the worlds leading manufacturers. These include detectors used in smoke activated fire door closing systems. A Scorpion installation uses its own cabling - keeping it separate from the fire detection system. How does it workA Scorpion Head Unit is connected to an easily accessible Control Panel or Access Point for use with the NEW Engineers Portable Controller which is where the Service Engineer interfaces with the Scorpion system. The Control Panel or Access Point can be positioned near the fire panel or control and indicating equipment allowing the Engineer to monitor both the smoke activation from the Scorpion as well as its effect on the detector.A Control Panel can control up to eight 8 Scorpion Head Units located up to 100 metres away depending on cable type used.An Engineers Portable Controller used in conjunction with an Access Point provides an alternative solution for sites with only a small number of hard-to-access detectors. In these cases each Scorpion Head Unit is permanently wired to an Access Point again located up to 100 metres away depending on cable type used. The system is powered and activated through the Control Panel or Engineers Portable Controller using a removable battery pack or battery baton leaving the system inert when not in use - preventing accidental or malicious activation.Key FeaturesSmoke generation tailored for functional testing of point type smoke detectorsAdjustable smoke time to suit characteristics of system under testClearing function enables quicker reset and reduced repeat alarmsIn excess of 240 tests of 15 seconds per Scorpion Head UnitSuitable detector types Optical photoelectric IonizationBenign particulate avoids material contaminationConsistent repeatable stimulus from one test to the nextApproved by world-leading detector manufacturersThe only way to activate hard-to-access smoke detectors in accordance with codes and standards and without the need to work in inaccessible situationsTrue functional testing using stimulus with wide smoke particle size range and characteristics to activate different detector technologiesResolution of access issues avoids conflict with safety access and security rulesScorpion is designed and manufactured by the worlds leading and only ISO 9001 registered specialist manufacturer of fire detector test equipment.Kit Includes1 x SCORP 10011 x SCORP 25
