Normann Copenhagen Eddy Table Lamp Black
Design: Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen Concept: The table lamp Eddy is an art of proportions; an airy shade hovers above a heavy, organic base and creates a design in balance and movement. Steel and marble make up the main elements while golden gleams of brass puts the icing on the cake that is this atmospheric lamp.
The Eddy table lamp consists of a plane steel shade with an integrated LED bulb that balances on a base of hand-thrown Italian marble. The rotation of the workings is highlighted by the relationship between a narrow neck and a voluminous body and forms a simultaneously lively and tight silhouette.
The lamp shade and base meet each other in a golden point of rotation in the shape of a shining brass ball around which the shade is angled to regulate the direction of the light. With its downwards facing shade, Eddy lights up its surroundings as well as itself. The light is radiated down onto the marble and highlights the shimmering character of the material. The table lamp creates a soft light that can be adjusted with the round brass dimmer that make up a refined detail on the top of the lamp shade.
The lamp has a round brass dimmer on the top of the lamp shade and a fabric wire. As marble is a natural material, the appearance of marble can vary
