Stretch the fabric onto a frame, find brushes and paint, let the colours flow freely, and create a personal painting that can adorn the wall in the living room, the children's room or the holiday home. It can only turn out well!  A few more details Cotton canvas is a tightly woven, durable and hard-wearing fabric that you can use for projects requiring a robust surface.   The fabric by the metre is made of 100% cotton, has a width of 140 cm, and can be ordered by the metre. Lightweight Linen for Summer DIY  Linen comes in various thicknesses; here you get one of the lighter qualities with fine weaves. Coarse linen/viscose off white

Upholstery fluffy teddy w/back off white

Upholstery fluffy teddy w/back off white

Create your own teddy chair Or cushions, teddy bears, and other soft projects with this lovely fabric quality. The name says it all: The fabric is teddy-bear-soft, warm, and fluffy. It's a beautifully coarse quality, which gives just the right expression to your creative project.  Teddy fabric measures 145 cm in width and is sold by the metre. It's made of 100% polyester, can be washed at 40°, and shrinks about 3% after washing.  The advantage of upholstery fabric  Teddy is an upholstery fabric of a durable quality with backing, so you can use it for seat cushions in chairs and sofas. The backing is beige, matching perfectly with the front, giving the fabric the right firmness, ensuring it's both compact and retains its shape, while still being super soft on the outside. The fabric has a Martindale of 20,000. But just because it's upholstery fabric, you can definitely use it for countless other exciting projects – for example, a fluffy bag, where the backing means you don't need to create a separate lining. How clever! Choose the right needle Upholstery fabric is generally heavy-duty, and therefore we recommend using universal needles size 100 and/or overlock needles EL x 705 CR. What is Martindale? Martindale provides information about the fabric's wear resistance. The higher the Martindale, the more durable the fabric is.  If you're using the fabric for furniture upholstery, we recommend choosing a material with a minimum of 20,000 Martindale.

Cotton satin off white

Cotton satin off white

Cotton satin - the best of both worldsHow about trying our soft cotton fabric in a range of beautiful colours for your next creative project. It's soft and comfortable to work with.Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven. This means that when we say cotton satin, it has the same beautiful weave as more 'classic' satin, while the cotton quality gives a more matt finish to the fabric.  And what can you use cotton satin for? Well, that’s entirely up to you. We prefer using it for bed linen. The natural material of the cotton in the delicate satin weave makes for some really lovely home made bed linen. As with so many other cottons, it is also suitable for clothing. Cotton is comfortable to wear and the fine weave gives it a nice finish - for a summer shirt or skirt, for example. Cotton satin is also perfect for a tablecloth for the table. Sew the tablecloth yourself or select "Sew as a tablecloth" and we will sew it for you (click on the text for details). Practical information about cotton satinMade from 100% cotton, it's soft and fluffy and, as always, you buy the fabric by the metre, so you get exactly the length you need. The fabric is 145 cm wide, has a weight of 130 grams and shrinks about 8% in the wash. You can wash it at 60° and iron at medium heat - but avoid the tumble dryer; let it air dry instead. TIP: Finish your seams properly - satin tends to fray a lot. You could also consider using a wider seam allowance to secure your seams or use overlock stitching. As always - test your seams on a scrap piece beforehand to see which technique works best for your piece of fabric. Search "9 tips for sewing satin" for more tips. What is satin? Satin refers to the way the fabric is woven, where one side of the material is smooth and shiny. For this satin we recommend that you use a size 70 universal needle. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.Meaning it is neither harmful to you nor your health and it’s less harmful to the environment.

Light linen/viscose off white

A Great Mix in Beautiful Colours This combination of linen and viscose is lightweight with a fine and smooth texture. It's a great choice for summer clothing for both adults and children, because it's light, lovely, and has the good absorption ability that you know from linen.   At the same time, you get a fabric that's a bit softer than pure linen, wrinkles less, and has a touch of elasticity, making it more flexible in use.   Summer Clothing and Home Accessories Just find your sewing machine and pattern and get started. Is your summer wardrobe missing a breezy skirt with an elastic waist? A simple top, some new trousers, or a summer dress? You can find lots of inspiration in our sewing patterns.   Of course, you can also use the fabric for beautiful DIY projects at home. Polar fleece off white

Polar fleece off white

The loveliest projects in fleeceFind your favourite colour and start creating your new project! Polar fleece is light, soft and stretchy - a great material that also insulates. That means it's perfect for lining a jacket or a nice, fluffy vest, for example. This is how easy it is to make a fleece blanketChoose the colour and cut the blanket to the exact size you want and voila: you have a new fleece blanket. It doesn't get any easier than this. And yes - it's good enough - you don't need to sew the edges; the material won't run. If you want to give your rug a nice finish with a sewn edge, we recommend using jersey needles, which are specially developed for qualities like this. They penetrate the fabric easily without leaving holes. Or how about making a reversible blanket or vest with two different colours of fleece - double up on warmth, softness and use. Fleece dries quickly, is robust and durable and therefore very easy to bring along, for example as extra blankets in the caravan. Practical information about polar fleeceThe fabric is 145 cm wide and you buy it by the metre, so you get the length you need. It's easy to throw in the washing machine at 40° max and is quick-drying, but can also be tumble-dried at a low temperature if you need it faster. Be aware that it shrinks about 3% in the wash, so it's a good idea to wash the fabric before starting your project. Please remember to use jersey needles (item no. 46799 or 46028) when sewing in fleece. What is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®?OEKO-TEX® is the world-leading label for textiles tested for harmful substances.Once the fabric has achieved a STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification, it is your guarantee it has been tested and approved not to contain any harmful chemicals.
