Laurus Nobilis (Bay Tree) – Shrub - Multi Buy

Laurus Nobilis (Bay Tree) – Shrub - Multi Buy

A noble upright-grower whose shiny green leaves have a pleasant aroma and can also be used in cooking. The Bay Tree has a very attractive shape and can be enjoyed individually as an ornamental tree, or combined to form a hedge that will bring texture and structure to your garden. The Bay Tree is not as hardy as other hedging plants available on GardenPlantsOnline, meaning they should be protected against the coldest winter nights, as well as being sheltered from harsh winds to avoid "scorching" of the leaves. All of our Hedging Plants allow you to style your garden in a range of different ways, not just because of their varied colours, but also because of the way you choose to trim and maintain them. Prune them regularly to achieve a neat, clean form, or let them bush-out a little to create a more natural appearance. Whether you're using a hedge to give your garden some privacy, or as protection from the weather, road and noise pollution, you'll want to choose a plant that complements the rest of your garden's visual appearance. Photinia x Fraseri Pink Marble (Pink Marble Photinia) - Shrub - Multi Buy

Photinia x Fraseri Pink Marble (Pink Marble Photinia) - Shrub - Multi Buy

Variation of Photinia x Serrulata 'Red Robin'- a group of evergreen shrubs grown specifically for glossy, dark green adult foliage, white flowers and brilliant red tinted young leaves; in the spring, they unfold to give a stunning display. The best known of the photinias is Photinia Red Robin, which is often planted as a specimen shrub or as a dense, evergreen hedge. A Christmas Berry Red Robin puts on a show all year round, with white springtime flowers and new leaves that start out as a vibrant red, before darkening to a glossy green as they age. These bright colours are popular with wildlife, but due to its loose branch structure, birds are unlikely to choose the Red Robin as a nesting location (which is ironic). Christmas Berry Red Robins are an excellent choice for creating interesting hedges and borders. Product Dimensions 3 litre pot: height 40 - 60 cm (1.3 - 1.9 ft) 7-10 litre pot: height 80 - 100 cm (2.6 - 3.2 ft) 15-18 litre pot: height 100 - 125 cm (3.2 - 4.1 ft) 20-25 litre pot: height 125 - 150 cm (4.1 - 4.9 ft) Latin Name: Photinia x Fraseri Pink Marble English Name: Pink Marble Photinia Species: Rosaceae Genus: Photinia Foliage Type: Evergreen. Resembles an upwards spray of bronze straw. Displays a beautiful range of tonal colours. As you’ll see from the pictures here on GardenPlantsOnline, Carex Buchanni can either be trimmed to grow upwards into a fountain of golden browns, or trained to grow outwards and form a traditional rounded bush. Whatever shape you choose, you’ll be giving your garden the feel of a wild prairie or hot Mediterranean oasis. Ornamental Grasses are chosen for their decorative qualities and whether used indoors or outdoors, they can bring a striking diversity to your garden. From round shrubs to tall walls of quivering spikes, ornamental grasses bring new shapes and textures that will contrast against the twisted roots of trees and the blooms of traditional plants and flowers. Photinia x Fraseri ‘Nana’ – Shrub - Multi Buy

Photinia x Fraseri ‘Nana’ – Shrub - Multi Buy

Photinia x Fraseri "Nana", also known as Little Red Robin or occasionally the Christmas Berry, is a group of evergreen shrubs grown specifically for glossy, dark green adult foliage, white flowers and brilliant red tinted young leaves; in the spring, they unfold to give a stunning display. Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia)

Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia)

Lavandula angustifolia, formerly L. officinalis, is a flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae, native to the Mediterranean. Its common names include lavender, true lavender and English lavender (though not native to England),  garden lavender, common lavender and narrow-leaved lavender. The species name Angustifolia is Latin for "narrow leaf". Previously, it was known as Lavandula officinalis, referring to its medicinal properties. English lavender is commonly grown as an ornamental plant. It is popular for its colourful flowers, its fragrance, and its ability to survive with low water consumption. It does not grow well in continuously damp soil and may benefit from increased drainage provided by inorganic mulches such as gravel. It is fairly tolerant of low temperatures and is generally considered hardy to USDA zone 5. It is a strongly aromatic shrub growing as high as 1 to 2 metres (3.3 to 6.6 ft) tall. The leaves are evergreen, 2–6 centimetres, long, and 4–6 millimetres broad. The flowers are pinkish-purple (lavender-coloured), produced on spikes 2–8 cm, long at the top of slender, leafless stems 10–30 cm long. In mid- and late summer it produces long, unbranched stalks carrying short, dense spikes of fragrant, pale to deep purple flowers.
