Cosmonautica is a sandbox space simulator characterized by a certain amount of humor, in which the player's attention is largely focused on the economic aspect of the game. This is the second work by the independent German studio Chasing Carrots, starting its career with arcade racing titled Pressure.
Gameplay
In this game, we play the role of a spaceship captain. Our task is to build a small company focused primarily on intergalactic trade. The player therefore has to explore the galaxy - consisting of randomly generated star systems - and look for various goods that can be sold. You can also undertake various tasks at stations and space ports, further increasing the company's revenue. There are also fights in space. Interestingly, in addition to the main, sandbox game mode, the game also allows you to play individual scenarios - along with the option of creating them yourself and sharing them with other players. An important part of the game is the aforementioned ship, which requires refueling and repair, and is subject to extensive modifications - it is possible, for example, to create a laboratory on its board that will deal with the development of new technologies. Another very important element is the crew, requiring activities such as assigning tasks to its members or taking care of their comfort and safety. It is also important to constantly search for more qualified employees, which translates into more efficient functioning of the ship and the entire company. What's more, you should take care of the harmony of individual crew members to avoid disputes between them, which would have a negative impact on work efficiency.

You are the captain of a small washed-up space cruiser. Assemble a well functioning crew and build a flourishing space company. Success and failure depend on your decisions.
Explore the galaxy and pursue intergalactic trading in dynamic and random generated solarsystems. You are able to trade different kinds of goods and some rare and illegal stuff, too.
Take care of your crew. Only if they fit together well and are satisfied, you are able to get the optimum out of your space company.
You can have up to 8 awesome crew members who work mostly autonomous. Assign and prioritize the tasks of your crew members, like a real captain would do it.
