(song - Those Good Old Days) Noticing the breadcrumbs, however, they eat their fill, leaving the children no way of finding their way home!Next, Hansel and Gretel run into a bungling gang of robbers (song - Robbers' Tango), who spot the opportunity to kidnap the children and ransom them for cash! However, their wits are no match for Gretel's, and she and her brother make a comical escape. They run deeper into the forest, where things get a little creepier, and talking trees warn them that 'this is no place for children!' (song - This Bad, Bad Place).Finally, exhausted and hungry, the children stumble across an enchanting cottage (song - The Gingerbread House), built from every delicious confectionary imaginable. Encouraged by a curious group of goblins, they eat their fill, before being introduced to the owner of the cottage! At first this little old woman is welcoming, asking them to stay and rest, and eat as much as they can. However, she soon shows her true colours! Hansel is imprisoned while Gretel must 'force-feed' him in order to, as the old witch puts it, 'fatten him up' for the pot! Plot SummaryIt's Christmas Eve at the North Pole, and frantic preparations are under way to get Santa ready for his annual 'evening out' (song - 'Ready For Christmas Day'). However, all is not as it should be. We hear from the elves, Eric, Elsie, Edgar, Edna, Esmée and Elmer, that Santa has gone on strike! Mrs Santa thinks this may be a passing problem due to his age, but Santa claims he has good reason for refusing to deliver presents to the children of the world. He has been watching 'Supernanny' and 'House of Tiny Tearaways' on TV and can't believe the behaviour he has witnessed (song - 'Santa's On Strike'). He thinks children no longer deserve a visit from him on Christmas Eve, and he won't be convinced otherwise.Desperate to save Christmas the Elves, Mrs Santa and Rudolf plead with him to change his mind, but Santa digs his heels in! Then the elves hit on a plan which might convince him that Children are not like those he's seen on TV, but that they can be really kind and giving, caring and sharing. Using the World-Wide-View-Satellite-Plasma-Screen-and-handset they tune in to the Wiseman family who are preparing for Christmas. They, and the audience, witness the comically frantic time families can have leading up to the big day, and see the children more than doing their bit to ease the pressure. (song - 'Pitching In, helping Out')Next we tune into the Shepherd family. Despite being settled into a Christmas Eve game of cards (which Dad is a little too eager to win!) the children are keen to make sure all the animals - pets, birds and even Santa's reindeer - are comfortable, catered-for and well looked-after. (song - 'Puppies Are Not Just For Christmas')The Elves then show Santa the King family. We see how the children are happy to sacrifice a cosy Christmas Eve watching DVDs in order to join others, outside in the cold, carol singing to raise money for the old folks' home. They also enjoy dragging their protesting parents outside for a sing-along too! (song - 'Lots of Fa-la-la')In a short optional scene Santa is shown that children haven't forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. We tune in to a nativity tableau, where, dressed as the traditional characters, a group of children perform a traditional Christmas song.If all this hasn't yet softened Santa's heart, then the final visit to the Starr family is bound to make him see that children can embrace the true spirit of Christmas. The Starr children feel sorry for their old neighbour, Mr Lewis, and take him round some Christmas cake (and a bottle of Dad's wine!), with the intention of keeping him company for a short while. Moved by his loneliness they go the whole hog and invite him to their house for Christmas! However, always looking to make easy money, their way of doing business is a little less-than-honest! They shamelessly sell cheap and fake items, passing them off as genuine, quality goods!One day, lots of visitors arrive in town (song ? Bethlehem?s Buzzin?) and the three friends are eager to cash-in! Convinced they?ll be ?rolling in it? by the end of the day, (song ? Business Is Booming) they give it the hard sell! This is followed by the arrival of an excited group of shepherds, whom the three friends think have come to do some late-night shopping! However, to their disappointment, the shepherds tell them of a wondrous visit they?ve had by a host of angels, who?ve told them to come to Bethlehem (song ? Hurry Down The Hillside) to find a baby born in a stable. Guessing which stable they mean, the friends offer to lead the shepherds to it?for a price! The shepherds decline the offer, choosing instead to follow the star that the angels said would show them the way.About to pack up again, the stall-holders then notice three very distinguished-looking gentlemen, who look like they have a bit of money to spend! However, they are disappointed to hear that these visitors have also come looking for the baby (song ? Follow A Star), and not to part with their cash! They discuss the mission, the hiccups and set-backs that have delayed the launch, and wonder how the astronauts will cope being many light-years from home so close to Christmas. The mission controllers then call for the launch site to be cleared as the four astronauts enter and prepare to board. They are slightly concerned that they may not be back in time for turkey and trimmings, but are assured that the mission will run smoothly (song - Back On Earth For Christmas Day).After a supersonic lift-off the ship speeds through the Earth's atmosphere and into deep space. Once Mission Control has informed them that they're on course, the astronauts relax and enjoy a space-walk outside, where they dance with the beautiful array of stars that light their way. (song - Starry Night)It soon becomes clear to Mission Control and the crew that all is not well. They lose control of the ship, which hurtles towards an unknown planet! Having miraculously survived the crash-landing, the astronauts activate the on-board robots to assess the ship's damage and explore outside (dance - Robot Dance). Once they are given the all-clear the astronauts leave the ship, but soon get the feeling they are being watched! When they bump into the fearsome alien inhabitants of what they learn is the planet Zork, they're pretty sure their numbers are up! (song - Song Of The Zorkonians)However, once the Zorkonians are satisfied that their visitors have come in peace, they welcome them, keen to find out all about them. The Astronauts explain about the crash and how, sadly, it seems unlikely they will back to Earth for Christmas. (song - The Place We Call Home)Of course, the word 'Christmas' means nothing on Zork, so it's up to the astronauts to demonstrate just what a wonderful thing it is, and why they are so desperate not to miss it! (song - Christmas Ditty). Having heard about Santa Claus, carol singing, crackers, family meals and all the ways in which Christmas is celebrated, the Zorkonians are impressed, but want to know why such celebrations happen. The astronauts go on to explain the true meaning of Christmas (Nativity tableau and song - Carol Medley).Convinced that Christmas is something not to be missed the alien hosts agree to help. With the astronauts ship beyond repair the Zorkonians offer them Zork's one and only space craft, as a Christmas present! When asked how they can ever be repaid for their kindness, the Zorkonians request just one thing in return... to be allowed to travel back with the astronauts to enjoy Christmas on Earth! And who can blame them?With a rousing reprise of the song 'Out Of This World' it's time to show the Zorkonians just what all the fuss is about!

Stargazing) Not knowing quite what this sign will be, or when they?ll see it, they have become rather impatient ? after all, they are not as young as they used to be!One night, however, far away in a land to the west, a young woman called Mary is visited by an angel. He tells her she will soon bear God a son ? a son who will grow to be a saviour! (song ? The King Of All Kings) Not longer after, the three wise men suddenly see in the sky the sign they have been waiting for! (song ? A Brand New Star) As the heavens come alive with the arrival of a new star, the wise men consult the scriptures and know they must follow it to where a new king will be born. (song ? Saddle Up - part 1) Meanwhile, Mary and her husband-to-be, Joseph, must also leave their home town, and travel to Bethlehem to have their names included in a new register. (song ? Saddle Up - part 2) Little do they all know that their paths are soon to meet!As the star leads them westward, the wise men arrive at the palace of the cruel and selfish King Herod. He and his wife are, as usual, throwing a lavish knees-up for their many hangers-on! (song ? One Big Party) The king and queen are shocked to hear that these visitors are seeking a new baby king, and worry how His birth might affect their extravagant lifestyle! Herod cunningly asks the wise men to find the baby then tell him of His whereabouts, so he too can ?pay his respects?. He is, however, secretly planning to kill Him! In a dream the wise men are warned by angels not to return to tell Herod where the baby is, but to go straight home once they have found Him. (song ? Keep It A Secret)Mary and Joseph have now arrived in Bethlehem. Unable to find a proper room, they must make do with a stable in which to settle down for the night, and as the new star comes to rest overhead, Jesus is born. (song ? Heaven On Earth) Shepherds soon come to visit, bringing the gift of a lamb and worshipping by the manger in which He is lying. Then, just as He opens His eyes, Balthazar, Melchior and Caspar, guided by the star, arrive to greet the new king! They solemnly present the gifts they have brought, explaining the significance of each one. (song ? Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh)Heeding the words of the angels, the wise men head straight home. Although glad to be back, they reflect on the excitement of their journey following the star, and wonder what further adventures lie ahead. The elders vote on whether or not to welcome the humans, but with the vote tied it rests with Snowy to decide their fate. Snowy consults the forest goddess, Natura, and is told to take a journey of discovery to the city before making a decision, to find out more about human behaviour. Leaving the future of the forest in the balance, Snowy, and fellow elder and friend Chip, embark on their adventure.As they set off, they experience first hand the plight of the forest's trees, and learn how man's actions have had a devastating effect (song - It Doesn't Pay To Be A Tree). But they also learn how human behaviour can change to reverse this effect. Next, the pair stumble upon the revolting, yet comical rats, Itchy and Scabs, who inhabit the landfill site. They witness the waste created by humans, and how this provides a 'paradise' for the roguish rodents! Having learned what can and should be done to improve this situation, Snowy and Chip then encounter rush hour in the city (song - Driving Song)! They meet a very pushy car salesman, only to be 'rescued' by the brilliant Professor Plantpot who, along with some 'green' friends, explains that many humans do care about the planet, and are changing their behaviour accordingly.Snowy and Chip learn how, with a little thought and effort, humans can reduce global warming, save energy, and create less waste (song - Switch It Off). The professor also demonstrates the limitless possibilities of recycling (song - R.E.C.Y.C.L.E.), unveiling Robbie - a robot made entirely from junk!With their new friends in tow, Snowy and Chip are in a race against time to get back to the forest, which has now fallen under the control of Weezil! Will the humans and their bulldozers be welcomed with open arms? Will forest life ever be the same again? That remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, with the final song (Make A Change Today) still ringing in their ears, your audience will feel uplifted, inspired, and above all... thoroughly entertained!

Stargazing) Not knowing quite what this sign will be, or when they?ll see it, they have become rather impatient ? after all, they are not as young as they used to be!One night, however, far away in a land to the west, a young woman called Mary is visited by an angel. He tells her she will soon bear God a son ? a son who will grow to be a saviour! (song ? The King Of All Kings) Not longer after, the three wise men suddenly see in the sky the sign they have been waiting for! (song ? A Brand New Star) As the heavens come alive with the arrival of a new star, the wise men consult the scriptures and know they must follow it to where a new king will be born. (song ? Saddle Up - part 1) Meanwhile, Mary and her husband-to-be, Joseph, must also leave their home town, and travel to Bethlehem to have their names included in a new register. (song ? Saddle Up - part 2) Little do they all know that their paths are soon to meet!As the star leads them westward, the wise men arrive at the palace of the cruel and selfish King Herod. He and his wife are, as usual, throwing a lavish knees-up for their many hangers-on! (song ? One Big Party) The king and queen are shocked to hear that these visitors are seeking a new baby king, and worry how His birth might affect their extravagant lifestyle! Herod cunningly asks the wise men to find the baby then tell him of His whereabouts, so he too can ?pay his respects?. He is, however, secretly planning to kill Him! In a dream the wise men are warned by angels not to return to tell Herod where the baby is, but to go straight home once they have found Him. (song ? Keep It A Secret)Mary and Joseph have now arrived in Bethlehem. Unable to find a proper room, they must make do with a stable in which to settle down for the night, and as the new star comes to rest overhead, Jesus is born. (song ? Heaven On Earth) Shepherds soon come to visit, bringing the gift of a lamb and worshipping by the manger in which He is lying. Then, just as He opens His eyes, Balthazar, Melchior and Caspar, guided by the star, arrive to greet the new king! They solemnly present the gifts they have brought, explaining the significance of each one. (song ? Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh)Heeding the words of the angels, the wise men head straight home. Although glad to be back, they reflect on the excitement of their journey following the star, and wonder what further adventures lie ahead. But until then, they relax on their sumptuous cushions and carry on doing what they do best?..stargazing! (song ? Stargazing reprise)
