Colt Canyon is a roguelike production in the form of a dynamic twin-stick shooter . The game was developed by a small independent studio Retrific (and most of it - Jonathan Mannshoven, who heads it), and was released by Headup Games. The sources of inspiration for this project include Hotline Miami , Enter the Gungeon and Red Dead Redemption . Gameplay In Colt Canyon, the action was shown from a bird's eye view. Freeing the hostage means for us the necessity to overcome nine extensive levels , and then return to the starting point. Going through the next stages, we primarily deal with the elimination of hosts of opponents. Both rank and file opponents and powerful bosses stand in our way . The clashes are dynamic, and during them we have to be constantly in motion to avoid enemy attacks, while trying to launch accurate attacks. The arsenal at our disposal includes firearms, explosives and various traps. Due to the fact that the game features permadeath mechanics and the action is extremely fast, sometimes it is worth trying to silently eliminate enemies and sneak behind their backs. As we progress, we unlock new characters, numerous improvements (on each level there is a prisoner who, after being released, offers us such or can support us in combat) and an arsenal , which, combined with an increasingly better understanding of the meanders of the game over time, allows us to face more and more challenges. Moreover, thanks to the fact that many levels are procedurally generated , the game is characterized by high replayability.
