This book aims to describe various forms of solar energy conversion in a unified way. The framework used for this is endoreversible thermodynamics, a subset of irreversible thermodynamics. It studies situations which are not in equilibrium and in which therefore entropy is continuously created, but which are nevertheless stationary.
